Everyone was shocked to find that Twitter, Airbnb, Zendesk, NYTimes, NetFlix, Amazon, and others – are currently experiencing a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack by hackers resulting in intermittent outages. The way it’s achieved is by flooding the site with queries from a bot net, which shuts down the system. Already, this is considered the largest internet attack of all time and the U.S. White House has started an investigation.
If you are a host using Keycafe to manage guests, you may not be able to get on there for some time as their site is down. Everyone is waiting in suspense to find out when the DNS companies stop the attack and restore services. Finger crossed it’s soon–Vacayo is ready to be back on social media 🙂
